Pema is a gentle giant, but at this point a somewhat nervous one.  He is a breeder release and still just at the beginning of what will likely be a long process of learning what it means to be a house dog.  
 
He seems house trained and loves to get pets and gentle brushing.    He loves peanut butter and meatballs.    He is super sweet and gets along just fine with my two resident pups, although he doesn't really play with them, more peaceful coexistence.  He doesn't really understand toys yet.   
 
He does not like the crate at all...if you can wrestle him in there, he doesn't make a fuss, but it takes some work to get him in.    The good news is I have left him out in a blocked off section of the house and he seemed to do fine...he does not seem to be a chewer at all.  He might scratch up windowsills or woodwork if he gets too anxious though.
 
He really needs a fenced yard at this point...he is not used to a leash and walking him can be challenging as he doesn't necessarily move when you want him to.  He adores my fenced yard and is happiest exploring it or sitting on my stoop.  But he is often scared to come in and it takes a lot of time and patience (and a willingness to prop the door open) to get him inside.  
 
He is a very quiet and mellow boy.  No barking at things outside, not even when my residents start the chorus.   He does seem to like to keep his people in sight, which makes sense given the breed is known to be protective of their people
